After naming Kendrick Lamar the "Rapper Of The Year" and making waves with a controversial cover story that came under fire from TDE's CEO, GQ has revealed that Pharrell Williams is the men's fashion magazine's "Hitmaker Of The Year."

The accompanying story is far less potentially controversial than the Kendrick profile, instead focussing on Pharrell's hit-filled year, particularly his two song of the summer candidates: Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines."

"Both songs are for people who need a break,” he says in the article. “There's a lot of fucked-up travesty in the world. Sometimes you just need a Hallmark card."

Williams undoubtably had a killer year. He also produced 2 Chainz's inescapable "Feds Watching." Check out the whole article along with a neat little Pharrell infographic here.
