Just a few days after Rock The Bells announced virtual performances of Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Eazy-E, Dirty’s wife, Icelene Jones, has expressed her disapproval.

Jones, who is in charge of ODB’s estate, says she is the only one who can approve anyone using his likeliness.

“I am disappointed that Rock The Bells would not contact me directly about the use of my husband’s image," Jones said. "I am looking forward to talking to Wu-Tang about this matter and coming up with a positive solution in order to bring my husband to the stage once again.”

The estate claims they have sole control over ODB’s lyrics, performances and likeness. For those reasons, Jones has issued a Cease & Desist letter against the Rock The Bells organizers. It looks like our excitement to see a hip-hop legend resurrected have come to a halt.
