Memphis rapper Young Dolph posted a pair of photos on Instagram Tuesday (Jan. 12) that would suggest a judge had given him custody of a child as some form of exercise in responsibility.

In the first photo, Dolph is seen with what looks like a blunt, and a young, sunglass and chain wearing boy. Underneath, Dolph writes, "Went to court and da judge ordered for me to take this little kid in my custody for 24hrs..... His mom said he been skippin school and stealing n shit." Unless there is a program out there in which mothers of troubled children offer their sons and daughters for 'creative correctional techniques,' it's difficult to believe any judge would make such an order.

And yet, there's the kid sitting with Dolph in the second photo, both with a new change of clothes. "Why dis little bad muddf*#er jus tell me “this house is cool but let’s go to the other one” ME: “what other one”? HIM:Your traphous….Duuuhhhh”! ME: “Don’t make me put dis belt on your little ass” Dolph wrote.

Back in September, Young Dolph was arrested for marijuana possession, so this "punishment" could stem from that, but it seems strange that Dolph would then photograph himself seemingly smoking marijuana with the boy immediately after. Stranger still is that news of the order was delivered by Dolph himself. We'll keep an eye on Dolph's Instagram and any other outlet that might shed light on this peculiar, albeit, hilarious course of events.
