In advance of Mac Miller's upcoming Swimming Tour, the Pittsburgh native graced Hollywood's Hotel Café on Monday (Sept. 3) for an intimate performance of his new music. For those of us who weren't in the 100-person crowd, he dropped a video today (Sept. 6) of "Hurt Feelings" from the set.

Mac played with a four-piece band, a smaller ensemble than the Jon Baptiste and Stay Human crew that backed the rapper's recent "Ladders" performance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, but enough to give the record a jazzy groove.

The track, produced by Miller, Jon Brion and Dev Hynes of Blood Orange, features on Miller's new album Swimming, released on Aug. 3. The rapper is touring the project starting on Oct. 27 with Thundercat and J.I.D. joining in as opening acts.

Thundercat co-produced Mac's album cut "What's the Use," and also played in the band that the rapper brought along for his NPR Tiny Desk Concert last month. The Los Angeles bassist dropped his latest album Drunk in February 2017.

J.I.D, for his part, is expected to tour with new music, too. The 2018 XXL Freshman debuted a new song snipppet in a recent episode of HBO's series Insecure that the Dreamville signee said will appear on his forthcoming full-length DiCaprio 2, which doesn't have a release date.
