The Nike Cortez will be a big focus for the brand this spring and summer, as the Swoosh looks to push the classic silhouette in 2017. Set to return in a slew of colorways and iterations, one pair in particular that is highly anticipated by sneakerheads is the Long Beach Cortez, a shoe that pays homage to the popular region in Southern California.

Releasing in the coming days, this Nike Cortez Basic Nylon Long Beach features a blue suede and nylon upper with hits of white on the Swoosh check, tongue, sock liner, heel, midsole and outsole. With gold detailing on the heel, tongue and lace locks, the sneakers are a perfect representation of the Long Beach lifestyle and its most recognized landmarks.

Along with the release of the LBC pair, Nike will also drop another Cortez iteration in black and white, paying homage to the city of Compton.

The Nike Cortez Basic Nylon Long Beach is scheduled to release on Thurs., June 1, at select Nike retailers and accounts. Retailing for a suggested price of $75, look for the shoes to also retail at, starting at 10 a.m. on the day of release.
