Kidz in the Hall, the duo comprised of Chicago MC Naledge and producer/DJ Double-O, have officially signed to Duck Down Records. After meeting at the University of Pennsylvania in 2000, the two started working on music together, and eventually dropped their critically acclaimed debut disc School Was My Hustle in 2006 on Rawkus Records. Now, in an effort to take their careers to the next level, the group has entered into a joint venture with Duck Down and Major League Entertainment. Through the agreement, both companies will work together on the Kidz marketing and promotions efforts. “The Major League team could not be more excited to partner with Duck Down Records for the next Kidz in the Hall album,” Major League founder Matty Marcus said in a statement. “The loyalty the label has shown to their roster over the years was a definite selling point, and Dru Ha and the Duck Down team are the perfect partners to elevate the Kidz In The Hall brand to the next level. This new exciting partnership is a welcomed change and a breath of fresh air for our entire team.” Naledge and Double-O are currently working on their sophomore LP, The In Crowd, which is due out on Duck Down/Major League in March of 2008. “I think that this deal is an excellent opportunity to spread our wings,” Double-O noted. “Duck Down Records has proven that they can successfully promote independent acts on a major scale and their enthusiasm in our music let's us know that they are 100% behind making the Kidz In The Hall movement successful.”
