Kid Ink Expects Charges To Be Dropped After Las Vegas Arrest
Kid Ink was in Las Vegas this weekend, where he was reportedly arrested and charged with disturbing the peace following an incident at a club. But Ink and his reps don't expect much to come of the arrest, which occurred at 1Oak, apparently during a "closed red carpet" event.
"After performing his hit singles 'Show Me' and 'Main Chick' at 1Oak in Vegas where he hosted a party on Friday night Kid Ink and some friends wanted take photos on the closed red carpet," reps for Ink said in a statement provided to XXL. "There was an issue with a third party and club security which resulted in the police being called and everyone being arrested. After being released, Ink caught a flight home to L.A. to make a scheduled performance for tonight. We expect charges to be dropped.”
Ink has been enjoying a high-flying 2014, with his debut major label album, My Own Lane, debuting at No. 3 in January and his major single "Show Me" breaking records on the Billboard charts. The former XXL Freshman has also been hopping on a series of high-profile remixes lately, including "No Flex Zone," "She Twerkin'" and "Up Down," among others.
