The 2017 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer and now the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting is happening now, so each of the potential Freshman are letting you know why they should appear on the 2017 XXL Freshman cover.

Coming from College Park, Ga., one of hip-hop's most popular locations, is Mexican-American rapper Kap G. He's looking to make 2017 his biggest year to date. Ever since Kap G released the Chief Keef-assisted cut "Tatted Like a Migo" in 2012, he has shown growth as an artist with each passing year. In 2014, the 22-year-old rapper proved he can make a hit song with a politically-charged message after his single, "La Policia," received praise from critics and fans. By 2016, Kap released his biggest hit to date with "Girlfriend," which was later remixed by Quavo and Ty Dolla $ign. Now, with a new project on the way and a spot on Chris Brown's national tour, Kap G's 2017 is shaping up to be a big one.

The 10th spot voting for 2017 XXL Freshman will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class. Go here to the 10th spot voting page to make your vote count for your favorite artist.
