J.Period & Black Thought “Rage Is Back (Freestyle)”

Best-selling author Adam Mansbach has teamed up with J.Period for a mixtape that will accompany his new novel Rage Is Back. The first offering features The Root’s MC Black Thought freestyling over Nas’ classic tune, “N.Y. State of Mind.” The result is three minutes of poignant bars that could leave most MCs in the dust.
