Hip-Hop Reacts to Golden State Warriors Winning the 2017 NBA Championship
Last night (June 12), the Golden State Warriors took home another championship after they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the 2017 NBA Finals in a thrilling battle on the court. While Cavs fans all over are extremely disappointed to see LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, JR Smith and more talents go home ring-less, Warriors fans are rejoicing all around the country and on social media.
Although there are a lot of hip-hop artists that are friends with King James, there are a number of Golden State fans in the community who reveled in the team's victory. Bay Area natives Too Short and E-40 both celebrated the Warriors major win, while Lil B and Kool John sent a huge congratulations to Kevin Durant, who joined the team at the start of the season after making a controversial exit from Oklahoma City Thunder. Even Pusha T called KD "the best player on the court" throughout the NBA Finals.
