Today is Just Blaze's birthday! The now 37-year-old Grammy Award winning producer made his name in the early 2000s, working very closely with Jay Z  to produce classic tracks such as "Girls, Girls, Girls," "Song Cry," and "Hovi Baby." He also worked with many other Rocafella affiliated artists, providing his heavily sample based production to the likes of Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Cam'ron, and Juelz Santana, among others, playing a major part in molding New York hip-hop's sound for that time period.

He won a Grammy in 2011 for his part in Eminem's Recovery album, where he produced 3 tracks off of the standard edition of the album.

Happy birthday Just Blaze! Just gave us his 10 essential songs that he produced for a playlist, peep that here.
