Chance The Rapper and Frank Ocean Attend President Obama’s Final State Dinner
Barack and Michelle Obama hosted their final state dinner at the White House on Tuesday (Oct. 18), inviting a cast of celebrities that included Chance The Rapper and Frank Ocean. Each musician brought a parent as guest, Chance writing on Twitter, "Thanks Dad for raising me right. Look at us all fancy for the White House. I ain't even wearing a hat tonight."
Speaking with reporters upon arrival, Chance said that he hoped to continue his dance battle with President Obama, saying of their competition, "I’m very high in the polls." Frank Ocean meanwhile showed up in some checkered slip-on Vans, saying of the style choice, "First time doing it. Probably because it’s my first time here."
Chance shared some of his experiences from the night on Twitter, writing, "Gwen Stefani just sang to me at the White House. And pointed at me. Bro. I'm dead." Frank Ocean's mother meanwhile was appreciative that she could attend with her son, writing, "I am so blessed to have a son that includes me in his once in a lifetime events!!! I just hugged our First Lady!!!!"
