Black Thought is giving fans another reason to be grateful this Thanksgiving. In a video posted to Twitter on Wednesday (Nov. 14),The Roots veteran confirmed that his upcoming Streams of Thought Vol. 2: Traxploitation, will be released on Nov. 26, just after the holiday weekend.

For the follow-up to 2017’s Streams of Thought Vol. 1, which was a project the Philly rhymer released alongside 9th Wonder, Black Thought will tap Salaam Remi for production. Sounds dope.

Using his Twitter account, Black Thought also shared that the cover art is in collaboration with visual artist Leslie Hewitt. He says they will be discussing their time working together in conversation at the MoMA in New York City on Nov. 28.

Given Remi and Black Thought’s wealth of experiences in the rap game, this project is sure to delight hip-hop fans across generations. Production for the first installment was done by 9th Wonder, with Remi a powerful choice to continue the collaborative one-on-one process with. The second installment of Streams of Thought marks Black Thought's continued exploration as a solo artist, all while balancing his legacy work with The Roots.

Black Thought also previously gave some insight into his creative process for the new project.

“From convo to concept. Trust the process. 2 flights to Miami. 3 sessions. 9 tracks,” he wrote on Twitter, adding the hashtags #streamofthought #SOT2.
