It would be hard for any hip-hop head to question Big Daddy Kane's veteran status in rap culture, as the lyricist has proven himself to be a pioneer for lyricism over the decades. His Long Live the Kane album has become a staple record in hip-hop culture, and now, it's getting a special vinyl treatment.

Fat Beats is selling a limited edition vinyl of the 1988 project starting on Aug. 25, which has been pressed onto a special purple and gold record created by Omerta Inc. The new vinyl for the classic album went through high quality pressings, and is specially remastered for the vinyl format.

There are 300 limited copies of the vinyl record, and it is currently being sold on the Fat Beats site for $29.99. The package will also include all of the original artwork from the album housed in a high quality matte jacket.
