Before Blueface became an in-demand rapper, he was actually a standout quarterback for the Arleta High School's football team in California.

On Sunday (Dec. 9), several old videos popped up online of Blueface, born Jonathan Porter, throwing the pigskin for the Arleta Mustangs. In one clip, Blueface throws the ball to a receiver who scores a winning touchdown. Overall, the Mid City rapper displayed some major skills on the gridiron.

Blueface would briefly play college football for Fayetteville State University in North Carolina, before pursuing a career in rap. So far, it's been a bumpy ride for the young artist.

In November, Blueface was released from jail for his involvement in a California shooting. According to reports, the 21-year-old rhymer was robbed while pulling up to a Newhill, Calif. gas station. He reportedly chased down the suspect and allegedly opened fire on him. Shortly afterwards he was arrested.

In brighter news, Blueface has signed with Cash Money West, a label founded by Birdman and Wack 100. Blueface's signing comes as his song "DeadLocs" has garnered over 2.5 million streams this year.

As Blueface continues to work on his new album, the "Respect My Crypn" rapper also revealed that a collaborative track with Drake is in the works. During an interview with Real 92.3 LA, Blueface confirmed that Drizzy, as a show of support for the rap newcomer, will hop on a song with him.

"It's coming," he said. "You know, it's coming. I had sent him something and he sent me some beats; it's in the making. We got something in the cut."
