Noname's highly anticipated Telefone is on the way. The Chicago rapper went on Twitter today (July 19) to announce that her long-awaited project would be released on July 31.

"#Telefone JULY 31ST," she wrote. This confirmed a previous remark Noname made when she stated that the "end of July seems like a good time" for Telefone. She also posted a potential tracklist for the project, which included the previously released songs "All I Need" and "Freedom Interlude."

Fans have been waiting on Noname's debut project for a few years, but now they only have to get through two more weeks to hear it. If you are unfamiliar with her work, the Chicago rapper came up in the same spoken word scene as Chance The Rapper and collaborated with the star MC quite a few times. She also made headlines earlier this year when she dropped the Gypsy part of her moniker after realizing that it was offensive.

"I wanted to wait until my website domain name was changed but it is important for me to say this. I am no longer using gypsy in my name," she said at the time. "When I first decided what my stage name would be I was unaware of how racially inappropriate and offensive it was to Romani people. It was never my intent to harm or offend anyone in any way. That is not what I’m about. I’m sorry for any pain I previously caused. Please from now on address me as Noname :)”

The waiting game is almost over. Noname has the opportunity to prove Telefone is worth all the holdup.
