Noname turned heads in 2013 when she popped up on "Lost" from Chance the Rapper's standout project Acid Rap. Credited as Noname Gypsy (she has since dropped the "Gypsy") in the credits, listeners and inquiring minds have been patiently waiting for more from the Chicago native. Fortunately, it looks like we won't have to wait much longer.

Noname has been working on her debut mixtape Telefone and dropped "Freedom Interlude" yesterday (April 4).The Windy City rapper flows effortlessly over a smooth instrumental and drops plenty of jewels before chanting "Dance with me" as the outro kicks in.

Noname's resume includes work with Mick Jenkins and Kirk Knight. She is working with Donnie Trumpet on Telefone, which she hopes to drop this summer. Catch her alongside acts like Atmosphere, A$AP Rocky, Future, The Roots and Common in Minnesota during Memorial Day weekend at Soundset 2016.

Rhymesayers Entertainment started back in 2008 with a goal of providing a platform for underground rappers and crews in the Minneapolis area. Since then, the Midwest gathering has grown and become one of the premiere summer festivals, drawing names like Snoop Dogg, Macklemore, Kendrick Lamar, Nas and more. XXL spoke with Rhymesayers back in December for the label’s 20th anniversary where the founders explained why they keep their ticket prices low while their competitors continue to raise gate fees.

“For these many groups, it’s very nicely priced — in comparison to festivals that are a $100, $150, $200. And if you get on the early bird, where we have our list of our fans that we give perks, you can get a ticket for under $40.” said Rhymesayers’ J-Bird.
