An abundance of music dropped over the Thanksgiving holiday including projects from Lil Wayne, Yo Gotti, Chris Brown, Fabolous, Erykah Badu, Rick Ross and others. But one tape that was slated to drop on Turkey Day missed its mark. 50 Cent promised his latest offering The Kanan Tape would also impact on Thursday, but the day came and went without any new music from Fif. Well, it was for good reason. 50 recently chopped it up with DJ Whoo Kid and explained the delay noting that the edition of a short film will push back the tape's release date until next month.

"It’s gonna come first week of December,” he says. “I promised that because I just had a few things to get right with the tape. Like, everything is done. It’s just sitting there.” He later added, “I always talk about how important it is to find the right visuals connected to the music,” he says of the delay. “I decided to shoot everything before I let everything go.”

According to 50, frequent collaborator Eif Rivera will be directing the short film, which will actually be visuals for all eight songs on the mixtape including the previously released "Body Bag" and "Too Rich." The project will feature production from the likes of Sonny Digital, London on da Track, and Illmind and it might get a reloaded version at a later date with additional songs.

Curtis later posted a one-sheet for the short film to his Instagram account which shows his face along with a reverse view of the New York City skyline. "I'm sorry for the wait. We are working on the Film to complete it," he captioned the poster.

With Fif putting all his effort into this project, which kind of came out of nowhere, it definitely looks like Street King Immortal will get pushed to the back burner once again.
