50 Cent took to his Instagram and announced that his The Kanan Tape will be released on Thanksgiving. All that's known about the new project from the G-Unit boss is it will feature eight tracks. The recently released "Body Bags" continues to be the only preview of the project fans have heard. No word on what producers are involved and if any guests will appear on The Kanan Tape has been made public. The project is named after 50 Cent's character on the hit Starz series Power, which 50 also produces.

While many onlookers surely enjoy 50 Cent's online antics as of late, The Kanan Tape's release should be welcomed return to music. The Queens rapper will have the opportunity to bring the focus back to his rhyming prowess as opposed to his meme making ability. Lately, 50 Cent has been involved in online beefs with some notable names. Recent spats with Diddy, Rick Ross and his ex Vivica A. Fox have dominated the conversation surrounding 50 Cent.

Thanksgiving Day will provide fans with their first project from 50 Cent since his 2014 album Animal Ambition. The Kanan Tape should also give listeners a preview of what to expect on 50's next album Street King Immortal, which is expected to be released in early 2016.
