Kim Kardashian stopped by Ellen Degeneres' show and said she had no idea her husband Kanye West was going to announce his plans on running for president in 2020. "He did not," Kim said. "That was news to me. That wasn't a discussion in our household!" She elaborated, "I don't know if that announcement was planned or if he came up with that idea right then and there." She also said that even though the announcement may have been spontantious, Kanye is "serious" about moving into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Kim said she will support her husband and "If he puts his mind to something, he'll do his best."

Kanye announced in his presidential bid at the VMA awards this year. "And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020, to run for president,” he said to conclude his speech after receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. He reignited his presidential bid at the recent iHeartRadio Music Festival. Since then, he’s garnered support from Ice CubeChelsea ClintonDonald Trump and most recently Ben Carson. ”Well, I am certainly willing to give him a chance,” Carson told ABC. “He’ll be able to explain things and see if he resonates with the people.”

Yeezy will be performing songs off his upcoming album, Swish, next month at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in San Francisco at the Warfield Theater. Tickets for the event range from $250 to $10,000 and take place on Oct. 10. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
