Wiz Khalifa to Head Out on “The Green Carpet” College Tour
Wiz Khalifa is about to hit the road, ready to promote a new kind of green.
The marijuana-loving rapper will be heading on out on a 17-city college campus trek, dubbed The Green Carpet Tour, starting in April. The venture, will not only find the 2010 XXL Freshman rocking the stage but he will also use it as an opportunity to promote eco-friendliness and environmental sustainability.
Wiz is not just saying he's behind the cause, though; he's showing it with his actions. The "Black & Yellow" rapper has committed to using bio-diesel fuel in his tour bus and biodegradable and recyclable products backstage. The Green Carpet Tour will be the eighth installment of the Campus Consciousness Tour, which is produced by Pretty Polly Productions in conjunction with the non-profit organization Reverb.
In addition to this new tour, which comes just months after Khalifa wrapped his Waken Baken Tour, the Atlantic signee will be doing a live show at New York’s Roseland Ballroom. Pre-sale for the event starts today, and tickets can be purchased here.
Wiz Khalifa's Rolling Papers is slated to hit stores and the 'net on March 29.
