Your latest dose of Soul Trap is ready for consumption. Chicago rapper Tree releases a new EP titled I.B.Tree, his first project since the 2015 album Trap Genius. The new EP is a collaboration with producer and fellow Windy City native IBCLASSIC.

The new EP features seven original songs. Although Tree is a skilled beat maker, he opts to strictly serve as an MC on this project with IBCLASSIC handling all of the production. Jabari Rayford is the only other producer involved on I.B.Tree as he assists on "20 (Ooba)." That track also features the lone guest appearance on the EP which comes from the very talented Chris Crack. The Tree and Crack collaboration comes as no surprise since the two teamed up for their own EP appropriately titled Tree + Crack just two years ago.

If you are completely unfamiliar with the work of Tree, the I.B.Tree EP is a great starting place. The seven track project provides you with a relatively brief taste of what Tree has to offer. Although it's a good showcase of his style, it does not highlight his skill as a producer. If you like what you hear, make sure to go through his back catalog and spin projects such as the Sunday School II: When Church Lets Out mixtape to check out his production prowess. But for now, enjoy I.B.Tree. Tracklist and stream are below.

1. "All Dat"
2. "On Dem 4's"
3. "Kinfolk"
4. "Heard Nothing"
5. "20 (Ooba)" feat. Chris Crack
6. "The Plug"
7. "Couple Nights"
