And just like that, the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards have come to a close. As is usually the case with the annual awards show, the cyphers were among the most anticipated parts of the night, and they pretty much lived up to the hype. Among the last cypher participants were Tee Grizzley, 6LACK, Mysonne, Axel Leon and Little Simmz, and you can watch their session below.

While everyone turned in a solid verse—Tee claimed he came off the top, giving him a few extra points, for sure—6LACK might have had the best performance of the bunch. Using a calm flow, the Atlanta native, made a few vintage BET references while stringing together some pretty damn impressive rhyme schemes.

"Around the time when Lil Wayne was on every hook/I was on my word tip, I was in every book/And T-Pain was killing every remix he could smell/Then my homie did some shit and had to sit in a cell/So I focused on music, chose my sentences well/Now my sentences sell, I don't censor them well/Connected to a higher power, like I sit in a cell/Tower, this ain't rapping, it's splitting a cell," rapped 6LACK, who dropped his excellent Free 6LACK project last year.

Check out the final 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards cypher of the night below, and when you're done with that, peep Eminem's scathing freestyle session directed at President Trump.
