Manolo Rose drops a new mixtape titled Concrete Rose.

The rising New York spitta drops a 15-track tape right before the summer begins. The DJ Bobby Trends-hosted project features Telli, upcoming female rapper Kiyanne, Problem, Stoney the Dealer, Vado and Dave East. A few other artists, including the late Coke Boy rapper Chinx, also make appearances on Concrete Rose. Fame School Slim handles most of the production, but Renegade, Problem and Chris Rose also lend a hand with the beats.

"Super Flexin" and "Run Ricky Run," both of which are on the new tape, dropped prior to this release. His track "Gun Fu" also gave us something to look forward to, with Rose spitting a few gully bars. He flexes all throughout this new tape, giving a few bangers to blast with the top down. His most recent release, "2 Dope Boyz" featuring Rowdy Rebel, is a great example of the sound from the tape. His sound isn't what some may say fits the mode of a "New York MC," which he previously explained.

"And I think that’s one of the things that’s currently happening with New York," he said to Vibe. "Trying to figure it out what is the new sound. What people don’t give us credit for is how we have so many different cultures here. When you’re speaking in the rap sense, they only want to focus on one type of rap — Biggie, Nas and Jay. But you can’t tell me that if you put a DMX record on — it wouldn’t sound like a down South record."
