Houston rapper Sosamann was arrested earlier this month on a felony charge of human trafficking in California.

The arrest took place on May 11, XXL has confirmed via Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office records. According to a TMZ report on Saturday (May 25), the Texas rhymer was arrested following a prostitution sting that took place in L.A. Two women who were nabbed in the investigation named Sosa as one of the men who allegedly lured them to Cali with the promises of fame and fortune, but ultimately forced them into the sex work trade. The women claim they were held captive.

Police arrested Sosa and others in connection with the crime. The rapper spent one night in jail before paying a $100,000 bail and bonding out on May 12. His next court date is set for June 6. No more details were given about the ongoing investigation.

Sosa is an affiliate of Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang outfit and a frequent collaborator with Sauce Walka. He recently released the video for the single "Dior."

Last year, he was featured on Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V album on the track "What About Me," a collab that was two years in the making. His most recent project, Sauce Eskobar 2, came out in January and features YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Gunna, Wiz Khalifa, Hoodrich Pablo Juan and Sauce Walka.

XXL has reached out to Sosamann's team for comment.
