The 2018 Monster Energy Outbreak Tour is all set to kick off in April, and when it does, it will be led by the ascendant Smokepurpp. On Tuesday (March 6), the brand announced the rapper as the headliner for the forthcoming tour.

Purpp is coming off one of the more successful 2017's of any rap game upstart, and his selection as Monster Energy's tour headliner probably means he isn't slowing down any time soon. Also, his debut mixtape, Deadstar, definitely still slaps.

"As with past Outbreak headliners, we continuously strive to showcase not only emerging artists coming into their own, but artists that display that rare ability to reshape pop culture through music," says Monster Energy Outbreak Tour founder Steve Glazer. "This year will be no exception as we're thrilled to announce Smokepurpp, one of the most talented and exciting upstarts in the game, as our headliner."

For his part, Purpp is just as excited. "This past year has been LIT! I’m excited to hit every stage in every city and connect with my fans. After those crowds get to see me live the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour will never be the same again! ESKEEETITT!"

Tickets for the 2018 Monster Energy Outbreak Tour are all set to go on sale this Friday (March 9) at 10 a.m. local time at www.outbreakpresents.com.
