It looks like Smokepurpp will be wrapping up his 2017 with a bang, as he is receiving his first gold plaque. According to the RIAA, the Chicago rapper's "Audi" hit record has earned gold certification as of Dec. 14, which means that it has moved over 500,000 units since its release.

The record from the rising rapper was originally dropped back in May of this year and has quickly become a fan favorite amongst his loyal supporters. "Audi," which was produced by Ronny J, was also later featured as the second track on Smokepurpp's Deadstar mixtape that released back in September.

This is the first certification from the RIAA that Smokepurpp has garnered, but with the hype around him, it may not be his last as he continues to prosper in the music world.

The entertainer has been consistently unveiling new heat for his fans throughout the year, with his most recent release being "Jump." At the beginning of the month, he also previewed a collaboration on the way with Nav, but there's no word on when fans may get to hear the final version.

Congratulations to Smokepurpp on the major accomplishment.
