Ralph McDaniels Airs History of Video Music Box Tonight at Bronx Museum
In celebration of Black History Month, the Bronx Museum of the arts will be presenting a free event tonight honoring Uncle Ralph McDaniels’s seminal hip-hop program, Video Music Box.
On deck to perform are McDaniels and Greg Nice of Nice and Smooth, plus other special guests. Along with the performances there will also be a visual presentation of The History of Video Music Box followed by a Q&A session with Uncle Ralph.
Ralph is the creator of Video Music Box, the first TV show to ever focus exclusively on delivering hip-hop videos. He also helped launch the careers of many artists; including Fat Joe, Nas, and Wu-Tang Clan, directing many of their debut clips.
The event will be held tonight from 6 to 10 at the Lower Gallery in the South Building at the Bronx Museum. —Michael Naclerio
