The Nike Air More Uptempo has seen a resurgence in popularity in 2017, and with the Swoosh continuing to push new versions of the basketball sneaker, today the brand introduces its latest colorway of the popular sneaker in university blue.

Releasing for the first time in this vibrant and appealing colorway, Nike adds the baby blue hue to the entire leather upper of this Air More Uptempo. With hits of white featured on the Nike logos and the big, bold “AIR” branding, the sneakers sit atop of an Air Bubble Unit and a university blue colored outsole.

Considered one Nike's most popular basketball silhouettes, the Nike Air More Uptempo became highly popular in 1996 when then, Chicago Bulls player Scottie Pippen, wore the shoe on the court for the entire 1995-96 season. Released originally in the signature black and white colorway, the sneaker made its return in 2016, and since then has been released in several other iterations.

A release date for the Nike Air More Uptempo university blue is set for Fri., Sept. 1. Launching at select Nike retailers and accounts the shoes will retail for a suggested price of $160.
