Nike announces the upcoming release of one of the most coveted Air Foamposites sneakers of all time. Returning for the first time in several years, the Swoosh gears up to release the Metallic Silver iteration of the Air Foamposite Pro later this month.

The sneakers, made famous by former NBA player Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway, were first released in 1997. With Nike celebrating the 20th anniversary of the timeless shoe, it was only fitting that the Swoosh bring back one of its most popular iterations, the forthcoming drop of the Metallic Silver pair. The 2017 version of this Foamposite will feature a metallic silver and black upper, with hits of a white colorway featured on the Swoosh logos in on the toe front, tongue and heel. Sitting atop of a translucent rubber outsole, the sneakers are finished with a modified herringbone pattern for traction and durability.

Nike will continue to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Foamposite sneaker by releasing more iterations of the popular show throughout the year. The 2017 Metallic Silver version of the Nike Air Foamposite is set to release on Friday, March 17, at select Nike retailers and on Nike.com. Look for the shoes to retail for a suggested price of $250.
