Jordan Brand Unveils Air Jordan 8 Black and Gym Red Sneakers
After collaborating this weekend with fashion label Public School NY on limited edition collection, Jordan Brand is back with a brand new silhouette for the fall season. Introducing today a new version of the popular Air Jordan 8 silhouette, the Jumpman presents a clean and appealing iteration of the timeless sneaker.
Dressing the nubuck upper of the Air Jordan 8 in a black colorway, the brand gives the shoes hits of gym red on the Jumpman logo, tongue, heel and outsole. To round the sneaker's overall look, Jordan Brand adds a heather grey colorway to the midsole and side panel of the shoes. In addition, a No. 23 will appear on the mid-foot strap of each shoe while the words "Air Jordan" are written on side panels of the straps.
Michael Jordan debuted the Air Jordan 8 silhouette in 1993—the year he won his third consecutive NBA title. Unveiling at the time the “Bugs Bunny” iteration, the silhouette went on to become a fan-favorite among Jordan heads.
This Air Jordan 8 Black/Gym Red iteration is scheduled to release on Sat., Sept. 16, for a suggested price of $190. Look for Jordan Brand to release the shoes at select Jordan Brand retailers and accounts as well as jordan.com.
