The director of The Fugees' MTV award winning music video for "Killing me Softly With his Song" was accused on Thursday (March 12) of raping and impregnating his daughters in order to create a “pure” blood line.

According to New York's Daily News, Aswad Ayinde is being held on $1 million bond and facing 27 charges, including aggravated sexual assault, lewdness, child endangerment, sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual contact, and criminal sexual contact.

He is believed to have fathered six children with his daughters since the 1980s. Ayinde also has nine children with his ex-wife and at least three more by two other women. He will undergo a separate trial for each of the five children he allegedly molested.

The Daily News spoke to a one of Ayinde's teenage daughters about the accusations. "It's a painful thing," she said. "It's not something we're going to talk about outside of our family. The truth is coming out now, after a long time. That's it."

As of press time there was no comments made by any of the former Fugees members about the case. Stay tuned to XXLMag.com for updates on the story. —Brooklyne Gipson
