At least two people are dead after a car ran into a crowd of people at SXSW in Austin, TX tonight. The accident—which happened outside of the Mohawk club on Red River Street—also left at least 21 injured, with differing reports putting that number as high as 23.

The Mohawk is the home of the House Of Vans at SXSW this year, and Tyler, The Creator was scheduled to headline the venue tonight. According to witnesses, a car was being pursued by police when it careened into a crowd of people. Police have one person in custody.

The Mohawk is situated in between 9th and 10th streets on Red River. Police had blockaded Red River at 10th Street to cars as part of SXSW's regular procedure all day, well before the incident.

Austin's ABC affiliate retweeted a reporter saying that the drive of the car will be charged with two counts of capital murder. XXL will update this story as more details come available.
