Drake is developing a reputation in New York. ABC reportedly backed out of recruiting the Young Money star for a free outdoor concert in Central Park after the NYPD said the Parks Department didn’t have enough security.

According to New York's Daily News, Drizzy was in talks to star on ABC’s Good Morning America summer performance series on July 16, but after the warning from authorities, the plans fell through.

"We were interested in having Drake perform, but he was never officially booked," a spokesperson for ABC confirmed with the Daily News.

As previously reported, cops have a right to be nervous. Just last month a mini-riot ensued when close to 25,000 fans showed up to see the T.Dot native perform at a similar event at the South Street Seaport, and police were forced to shut down the concert.

Drake also recently canceled several of his European tour dates, due to a family emergency. —Elan Mancini
