Drake has rescheduled the European leg of his Away From Home Tour due to a family emergency.

In a statement Drizzy explained that he has to tend to his mother. “Despite my best hopes, it is apparent that my mother will need surgery earlier than anticipated.” The Young Money star said. "In light of this news, I have made the difficult decision to cancel my European tour in order to support her during her recovery."

"I ask everyone to please respect my family's privacy during this time," he added.

The Toronto artist has rescheduled dates in London, Paris, and Amsterdam for November, while promoters have encouraged fans to save their tickets. Unfortunately, his sets during the Hove, Roskilde, Wireless, Les Ardentes, Oxegen, and T in the Park festivals will not take place.

This is a pretty sad blow for the emerging artist whose debut album, Thank Me Later, was recently released, selling an impressive 447,000 units in its first week on shelves.

Drake will return to the stage in three weeks in his native country of Canada. Fans can view the forthcoming dates below. —Vaughn Roland
