Earlier this morning troubled Yonkers rapper DMX pled guilty in an Arizona courtroom to drug, animal cruelty and theft charges.

The Associated Press reports that X (born Earl Simmons) pled guilty to one count of animal cruelty, one count of theft and two counts of possession of marijuana and a narcotic drug, in order to have additional charges dropped at his sentencing hearing, scheduled for January 30.

As XXLmag.com previously reported, DMX has missed several court dates throughout the year. In the beginning of the month a Maricopa County judge issued a bench warrant in search of the rapper after he missed another date, which led to the MC getting picked up hiding out in producer Scott Storch’s Florida mansion

Update: TMZ reports that X will most likely have to serve 90 days in jail for the offenses, according to the Maricopa County's Attoney's Office. Once released, if he violates probation he faces up to 10 years. – Elan Mancini
