Pusha T's second solo album, King Push -- Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude is available to stream and purchase today (Dec. 18). And for the first time since its release, the accompanying short film is available to stream for all fans.

Previously an exclusive for subscribers at Tidal, the Jay Z-owned music and video streaming service, the 22-minute project co-stars Pusha and Rotimi, the actor from the Starz drama Power who has recently begun a foray into music under the tutelage of 50 Cent.

The film plays on the tension between religious and moral concerns and Pusha's less-than-legal past (and, it's implied, present). Just as he has done in his music since his earlier days with the Clipse, the narrative here brings under scrutiny the different codes that Pusha himself, his friends and family and his adversaries claim to live by.

Darkest Before Dawn, the album, features contributions from Kanye West, The-Dream, Beanie Sigel and more, plus beats from Diddy and J. Cole, among others. It's the Virginia rapper's first proper solo effort since 2013's My Name Is My Name, which was anchored by the singles "Numbers on the Board" and "Nosetalgia," the latter of which features Kendrick Lamar.

Though Pusha has little official background in acting, the new G.O.O.D. Music president is heading up a company that has dabbled on the big screen before. The label’s 2012 compilation album, Cruel Summer, was to be accompanied by a short film that was screened several times, but never saw a wide release.
