J.I.D has delivered some memorable sets before but his recent performance on national TV was extremely special to him. Last night (Nov. 28), the 2018 XXL Freshman hit the stage with BJ The Chicago Kid and Thundercat at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform one of his more emotional tracks off DiCaprio 2 called "Skrawberries." Before he began, the Dreamville rapper hit up Instagram to dedicate his nationally televised performance to the late Mac Miller.

"Seeing your dreams come true right in front of your eyes is a tricky thing," J.I.D said in his caption. "I can’t do anything but thank my creator, my family, my team, and my supporters, @bjthechicagokid Thundercat, and myself did a special dedication to our brother Mac, I’m extremely humbled to be a part of this moment, comment 🍓🍓🍓if you’ll be tuned in at 11:30🍓🍓🍓"

The song stems from J.I.D's recent project DiCaprio 2, which features Method Man, Joey Bada$$, A$AP Ferg, 6lack, Ella Mai and J. Cole. With BJ The Chicago Kid on the hook and Thundercat on the guitar, the East Atlanta native began his set while sitting in a lawn chair with a visual of the bottom of a pool in the background. He rapped his insightful bars while wearing nothing but colorful pants, fresh sneakers and gold chains hanging off his neck. He ended his set with a simple message: "We love you, Mac."
