Update:

The CDQ version of this song, produced by DOOM and Madlib, has leaked in full. Hear it below.

Original Story:

It is always a welcome surprise when new Jay Electronica music comes to light, and following a guest spot on Chance the Rapper's Coloring Book mixtape, the enigmatic rapper has made yet another appearance, this time on an unreleased DOOM track. A video uploaded to Facebook from a DOOM show in April has a DJ playing the Jay Elect collab, and not a snippet or a teaser either, but what sounds like the full song or what is the better half of it. And surfacing on Instagram today (May 16) is a video of the track being played through iTunes, substantiating its existence and potential release.

On the track, Jay E deploys his dependably dexterous flow, rapping, "I broke the deputy neck while metal face shot the sheriff." Considering the reclusive nature of each artist, it's tough to calibrate proper expectations, with a month-plus already passing the above video was posted online. The account Nature Sounds wrote on Instagram about the song, "Yes it's real...and its spectacular," though a title or timeline relating to it is still unavailable.

In reference to his track "How Great" with Chance, Electronica wrote on Twitter last month, "Peace To Chance The Rapper. We about to surprise attack y’all. well i guess it aint a surprise no more. But its still an attack! lol.” If enough fingers are crossed, than perhaps Jay Elec will make that triumphant return to hip-hop's center and give fans a full album or at the very least, a steady string of features. Listen to the as yet untitled collaboration in the videos included up above and down below.
