J.R. Is Only Worried About “Today” in New Song

St. Louis’ J.R drops a new record titled "Today" off his upcoming EP, Gang Season. The past or the future doesn't matter on this new banger. "'Today' gives a day in the life of me in these St. Louis streets, it ain't easy out here so to make it thru a day is always a blessing," he says to XXL. J.R. has already released “Best Friend” and “You See It” off the EP. The video for "Best Friend" earned the young artist some unwanted attention when a high school vice principal lost her job after appearing in it. Gang Season drops on Feb. 29

In an interview with XXL in May of 2015, J.R. talked about his standout moments in his career so far. "Well right now, we’ve really been pushing one record," he said. "We’re putting all of our effort in one record and that’s “I’m Just Sayin,” the original and the remix with Nelly and Tiffany Foxx. Along with that being a big record that was also a big moment for me, doing a record with Nelly and Tiffany. And also getting an experience of the road life with Trey Songz and Chris Brown on their tour. That was a big moment as well.
