August Alsina accompanies the roll out of his new album with the release of his new video for the single "Song Cry." Released back in October, the track is a slow-burning ballad that finds Al spilling his heart about love lost.

In the video, the NOLA crooner metaphorically displays the song's loneliness by filming in desolate locations. First we see him pushing a motorcycle through the desert. Later he posts up at a motel and sings his heart out in the pouring rain before lying in a pile of rose petals.

Alsina's sophomore album This Thing Called Life dropped yesterday (Dec. 12), but not before some dust was kicked up by the singer over the LP's premature leak onto the Internet. The former XXL Freshman lashed out against his label Def Jam over the leak, on Twitter, and later clarified his frustrations posting, “All that I do is done because of the love I have for my fans, the people who support me, and simply the love of the art. I can’t express to you how much hard work was poured into this album, it’s presentation & roll out so for it to be leaked because of a careless mistake hurts me to the core.”

August's new album, the follow up to his 2014 debut Testimony, features guest appearances from Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Anthony Hamilton and Jadakiss.
