Though it may seem at first pass like a warm, breezy summer song, fit for calm, quiet nights, Jhene Aiko's "Eternal Sunshine" is a stark remembering of loss and pain. The jarring video--through all the horrific b-roll, Aiko is superimposed, singing front and center at the bottom of the screen--depicts her grisly 2013 car crash, the one she endured with her daughter, sister and daughter's father. The pleas to remember "only the good things" become all the more heartfelt when played against a backdrop of EMTs, stretchers, childhood photographs and recreations of the accident. It's Aiko's most arresting video to date, a chilling reminder to value those you value in the present tense, lest they be taken away before their time. "Eternal Sunshine" is also dedicated to her brother, Miyagi, who died of cancer in 2012.

Aiko will be hitting the road this year with J. Cole on his tour in support of 2014 Forest Hills Drive; she will join Big Sean, YG and Jeremih. Her last album, Souled Out, spawned modest hits in "The Pressure" and "To Love & Die." She can currently be found on your radio dial making very specific grocery requests on Omarion's "Post to Be."
