J. Cole Debuts “Lights Please” Video After Five Years, Pens Letter To Fans, Announces Tour

It’s been five years since former XXL Freshman J. Cole released his second mixtape The Warmup, which helped propel him into stardom. The project’s mainstream gem, “Lights Please” is reportedly the track that attracted Hov to sign the overly confident North Carolina MC to his Roc Nation imprint, but, strangely the hit went without an official visual. According to Cole, a visual was recorded but never released. Until today, that is. Cole recently debuted the video for the half-decade-old song with MTV as part of their commemoration of the anniversary of the project. Peep the video, above.

Today, Cole also penned a letter to his fans to show his thanks for all their support over the years and announced he’s bringing back his Dollar & A Dream Tour this summer. Peep the letter, tour trailer and dates, below.
