Freddie Gibbs' return to music is imminent. The "Deeper" rapper posted a teaser on Wednesday (March 6) that hints at his comeback. The video does not provide many concrete details though. The visual simply shows patrons at an art exhibit with the polar opposite of Gangsta Gibbs' music playing in the background.

Gibbs' announcement is great news, but fans already knew he had some music in the works. Back in January, Curren$y revealed that he and Gibbs were teaming up for a collaborative EP titled Fetti.

“Called my homie Gibbs and told him it’s time lets put the EP together,” Curren$y wrote on Jan. 4. “Homie hit the slopes and sent me this hahaha clearly its a green light haha…. “fetti” the EP coming in 17″ …. Spitta and Gibbs that pistol to ya ribs ….. Peep how cold he is on the skis tho haha that’s commendable @freddiegibbs.”

Gibbs followed that up in February by teaming with Ill Brown, G-Wiz and BJ The Chicago Kid for a track called "Friends." But, it appears that Gibbs is finally going to bless the world with new solo material in the near future.

The Indiana rapper's return to music comes after a tumultuous 2016 in which he was charged with sexual assault. Gibbs denied the allegations, but was detained in Austria for a month while the legal process unfolded. Gibbs was acquitted of the charges in late September.
