Hours before the release of his new mixtape, Summer on Sunset, Wale delivers a new track called "Back to the Sun."

Backed by a Kal Banx and DJ Money-produced instrumental, Folarin drops some memorable lines throughout the brief song (it clocks in at 1:41). The DC native rides the beat nicely, spitting, "Rare bitches in Raf Simmons, my pack lit up/Loud in me, I'm flying high as Bilal singing."

Wale continues, rapping, "What up, thuggin, addressin the mass public/Attitude is fuck it, I'm living what they covet, so run it/Younging, troubled, beginning was humble/Niggas flexin' for that Gram, but they livin' with their Mothers/They suckers, they lyin', they liars, Vs on my tire/It's two things I never mind is their opinion and stylists."

Summer on Sunset is expected to officially drop Friday night (June 17). The 31-year-old DMV artist has been doing his thing as of late, including a recent performance of "My PYT" on The Late Show With Jimmy Fallon. "My PYT" has been getting a lot of radio play since its release, especially in the DC Metro area. Last week, the MMG rapper made a special appearance in Baltimore with Shy Glizzy on Beyoncé's Formation tour.

In case you missed it, listen to some more of Ralph's releases including "Reminisce" featuring Phil Adé and "Her Wave." Wale also has an album coming up. SHINE, which stands for "Still here ignoring negative energy," has no release date as of yet but is expected to come out soon. Keep it locked to XXL so you can check out Summer on Sunset when it drops.
