Live shows aren't the only form of entertainment at this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. If you happened to be in the right place last night you could have witnessed the impromptu "Coachella Track Meet" featuring Kanye West and Tyler, The Creator.

Last night (April 15), the two friends decided at some point they needed to test each other's speed and challenged one another to a sprinting duel. In the video, the two rappers set up at the starting line before taking off in a full sprint. Tyler seems to edge West who claims he was slowed down by a spectator. In West's defense, he seems to be running in some calf high construction boots. Either way, fun seems like it was had by all.

West made an surprise appearance at Coachella 2016 performing a brief set during A$AP Rocky's show at the Outdoor Theatre. 'Ye got into the The Life of Pablo track “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1," before he was cut short by show officials for going over the time limit.

The rest of the event should be live as well. G-Eazy, Rae Sremmurd, Pro Era leader Joey Bada$$, UK MC Skepta, DJ Mustard, Ice Cube (and possibly N.W.A), Run the Jewels featuring Killer Mike and El-P and Vince Staples will all hit the stage at the famed music fest.

This year, the three-day event spans two weekends — April 15 to 17 and 22 to 24 — at the Empire Polo Club and will feature more than 100 artists hitting the stage.

But this race though.
