Coachella 2016 is on and popping, kicking off yesterday (April 15) with a number of big time performances. A$AP Rocky was one of the Day 1 highlights, performing last night and bringing out none other than Kanye West.

The A$AP Mob member shut shet down at the Outdoor Theatre before passing off the rock to 'Ye to close things out, to the surprise of the crowd. West pulled out the fan favorite The Life of Pablo track "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1," but not without some issues. According to those in attendance Yeezy's brief performance was marred by technical issues with the rapper's mic going in and out. The set was also reportedly cut short prematurely because it went way over the time limit. It seemed fun while it lasted.

This year's festival is stocked full of dope rap performances. The Bay Area’s own G-Eazy, Mississippi duo Rae Sremmurd, Pro Era leader Joey Bada$$, London MC Skepta, DJ Mustard, Ice Cube, Run the Jewels featuring Killer Mike and El-P and Vince Staples will all hit the stage at the coveted music fest this year.

There's a chance Ice Cube's performance could feature a reunion of N.W.A as Cube hinted at such earlier this year.

Last year's festival was LIT and this year's show is starting off in the right direction. Check out our complete guide of Coachella 2016 performances, set times and parties to turn TF up at here.
