Lil Wayne claims in his massive lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records that the label owes money to not only him but to Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga. In the legal documents obtained by TMZ, there are letters from Drizzy and Tyga's camps claiming they were not properly paid by Cash Money. In a separate letter from Nicki's camp, she claims that her producers were shortchanged by Young Money. Lil Wayne states that it's Cash Money Records responsiblity to pay producers.

The issues stems from a $100 million advance from Universal that went directly to Cash Money. In new legal documents in the lawsuit, Young Money claims that were supposed to get a huge piece of that advance and they're still waiting on it. However, Cash Money are calling Young Money liars and that they paid them accordingly. They said they gave a $20 million advance for Young Money in 2012, another $12 million for Wayne's solo album and another $70 million in advances, royalties, marketing and recording costs for various Young Money artists. They also point blame at Wayne for not fulfilling his contract of 21 albums over seven years for his artists. They claim he only provided 13 so far.

Wayne first filed his lawsuit against Cash Money Records back in January on the grounds that Birdman violated his deal and owes him tens of millions of dollars for delaying the release of Tha Carter VReports say that Birdman owed the rapper $8 million as an advance for Tha Carter V, which he never paid. Wayne was also supposed to receive an additional $2 million upon the album’s completion. Tyga has openly expressed his frustrations with Cash Money Records and revealed he would be moving forward with the release of his third studio album as an independent artistThe Gold Album: 18th Dynasty came as a surprise at the end of June, which pissed off Birdman. Drake and Nicki Minaj have remained relatively quiet throughout this whole ordeal. It was rumored Drake released If You’re Readying This It’s Too Late as a mixtape/album to get out of his record deal with YMCMB. Angie Martinez sat down with Baby this summer who said that ”Nicki and Drake ain’t goin’ nowhere, regardless.”
