There are probably a million 'charge it to the game' jokes to be made. According to TMZ, the Compton rapper has been charged with one felony count of making criminal threats; a warrant has been issued for his arrest. The charge stems from an incident at a March pro-am basketball game, where Game got into a dispute with another player, who just so happened to be an off-duty LAPD officer. After an argument broke out, Game punched the rookie officer, named Onyebuchi Awaji. The rapper has repeatedly denied making any threats to Awaji, and claims that it was the officer who threatened to retrieve a gun from his gym bag.

The Game's last album, Blood Moon: Year of the Wolf was released in October of last year. A litany of high-profile guests were shoehorned into the proceedings: Kevin Gates, Jeezy, Freddie Gibbs, Skeme, Bobby Shmurda, Dubb, Tyga, Pharaoh Prophet, Too $hort, AV, Problem, Eric Bellinger, French Montana, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, T.I., Soulja Boy, 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti and more all make appearances. He has long teased a sequel to his 2005 debut, The Documentary, and has suggested that it would come out this month.
