Ever since Nicki Minaj and her long-time boyfriend Safaree "SB" Samuels called it quits, there has been much speculation about the Young Money rapper's love life. Nicki's been seen across social media with close friend Meek Mill, which has led fans to assume their a new item. While speaking with VogueThe Pinkprint rapper dished on her newly single life, saying she's just enjoying her time alone, "I haven’t had this much fun in years. Yeah, I am partying, and I am freer, and I am just enjoying myself and my life."

As for the rumors about the Queen of the Barbz and the MMG signee she shared a few details, but kept it pretty light.

"Sometimes we hang out, and when we hang out, we have fun, " said New York native. 'This is what I want to say about him: People think for some strange reason that we just started becoming friends recently. We’ve been friends for a very, very long time, and he’s been around for a lot of things that I’ve gone through. And that’s all I’ll say about that."

Whether or not Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill are an official couple is still unclear. However, it doesn't help the rumor mill that the two will be performing together this Valentines Day (Feb. 14) at The Copacobana  in New York. According to TMZ, Nicki and Meek will also be making an appearance in Charlotte, NC later this month too and there's even talk about a possible joint tour.

In addition to talking about her love life, the YMCMB rapper talked about her Caribbean culture and musical influences.  Being Trinidadian is a big part of Nicki's identity. Some of her biggest influences are soca artists Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann, as ell as reggae artists Beenie Man and Buji Banton.

"I love island culture. I love being an island girl. I wear that so proudly," she said. "These amazing reggae artists influenced me more than I think people realize. It’s always there on the album—I always at one point on an album have to represent for my island people."

Before wrapping up with Vogue, Nicki shared that she doesn't plan on doing this rap thing when she's 50. Instead she want to travel the world with her children and enjoy life.  Head over to Vogue for the full interview,
